Animals, nature, family, and adventure
Our Story
Five Buck Duck started as a birthday gift and became a family project with a whole lot of heart.
A Family Story Rooted in Animals, Nature, and Adventure
Five Buck Duck began with Molly’s deep love for animals and nature, a love she passed down to her three boys.
For Molly’s 40th birthday, her husband invited family and friends to share stories through written messages and audio recordings. Those memories became a special AI-generated podcast series released throughout her birthday week.
Again and again, people described four things Molly loves deeply: animals, Honey Rock Camp and the Northwoods near Eagle River, Wisconsin, caring for her family, friends, and community, and adventure.
Over the years, Molly has rescued animals in need, led wilderness camping trips, and shown steady leadership in her family, work, and service on the local school board. She shows up when people need her, and she has a gift for making others feel safe enough to be fully themselves.
What Five Buck Duck Is About
Five Buck Duck is about appreciating life and caring for creation. It is about the joy, wonder, hard work, and occasional mess that come with raising animals and building a small family homestead.
We want to share what we learn while helping others experience the animals we love. Along the way, we hope to encourage a fuller, healthier, more adventurous, and creation-friendly way of living.

Meet Cluster
After Molly received ducks for her birthday, the boys were thrilled to create the official Five Buck Duck character.
Our oldest son drew inspiration from Fortnite and decided that Cluster Duck would be an awesome name. We call him Cluster, or simply CD.
The only thing the family could not agree on was what Cluster should wear. Instead of choosing just one outfit, we gave CD a full wardrobe.
